Bannaji Temple is expansive with a site of approximately 40,000 square meters enclosed by walls and embankments like a castle. Passing through the temple gate, the spacious temple grounds unfold before one's eyes. The temple also serves as a treasury for National Important Cultural Assets and Prefectural Designated Cultural Assets. The temple holds Ashikaga Takigi Noh and Takigi Kyogen plays 2 days a year. Watching the Noh and Kyogen plays by the light of the bonfires outside at night is captivating.
