The Oya Information Center is an information center which provides information on the history of Oyaishi stone mining.The most eye-catching sight at the information center is the ability to actually enter an underground mine and experience the caves for oneself.The large space is said to have had approximately 1,000,000 stones removed and visitors can spend 30-40 minutes exploring the cave.The large space is 20,000 square meters and 60m deep at its lowest point and maintains an average temperature of 8°C all year long regardless of the season making it a great place to visit during the hot summer months.The space seems like a giant underground building and allows visitors to experience a sense of mystery.
