Manyo Nature Park Katakuri no Sato is located approximately 15 minutes from the center of Sano City by car. Inside the park visitors can appreciate "dogtooth violets", rare wild grasses that serve as a sign of springtime in the mountains, anemone, golden-banded lilies, which are best viewed in the summer, and a large variety of other flowers. The dogtooth violets, dotted about the gentle slope of the mountain, swaying in the breeze is a truly beautiful sight.
