Nasu Animal Kingdom is a facility that whose planning was supervised by Hata Masanori, otherwise known as the famous Mutsugoro. The park site is approximately 10 times the area of Tokyo Dome and over 500 different types of animals live in the park including prairie dogs, squirrel monkeys, snow owls, falcons, penguins, alpacas, etc. In addition, visitors can also come into contact with the many cats and dogs at the park, and can even bring their own dogs and take them on the park’s popular dog run. There is also horse riding, camel rides, a kangaroo plaza and a variety of other ways for visitors to come and enjoy spending time with the animals.
