The Yamamoto Yuzo Furusato Musuem was opened in 1997 using a renovated Edo Period Misegura warehouse. Yamamoto Yuzo was born in what is modern day Tochigi City and was a play-write, author and politician who was a recipient of the Order of Cultural Merit in 1965. Yuza's beloved desk, revolving bookstand, hat and other articles as well as works written in the author's own hand are on display inside the center.
