Shiroyama Park is filled with cherry blossoms in the spring.Situated along the banks of the Gyoya River that flows through the heart of the city, the park is home to a venerable, 80-year-old Yoshino cherry blossom tree along with roughly 200 other trees that bloom with brilliant splendor to make Shiroyama Park one of Japan's few cherry blossom viewing spots located in a city center.Lanterns illuminate the park at night to create reflections of the trees on the river for visitor to enjoy a fantastically beautiful sight.
