Seirinji Temple is known for its 16m Gautama Buddha statue and as a temple famous for blooming peonies. The peonies were cultivated from peony saplings received from Hasedera Temple in Nara Prefecture and there are now 700 plants within the temple grounds. The best season for viewing peonies is from the end of April to the beginning of march when one can count nearly 40 types of blooming peonies. Come and admire the beautiful peonies at the temple.
