The Nikko City History and Folk Customs Information Center is a short walk from JR Imaichi Station. A variety of materials which introduce the history and culture of Nikko are on display at the center. In addition to materials on the world-famous cedar tree avenues, there is also information on Ninomiya Sontoku who led the revival of Nikko as well as actual insect specimens from that time. Visiting the center and learning about Nikko's history before actually walking the roads will make the journey that much more enjoyable and interesting.
