Jikoji Temple is famous for having a 150 year old early flowering cherry tree which is the earliest blooming cherry tree in the city.The sight of the large tree, standing 20m as if dug into the stone steps and surrounded by flowers is amazing, and it is lit up at night. This cherry tree has been designated as a city natural treasure.
