Jyaou no Taki Falls

Jyaou no Taki Falls is a waterfall which runs into the Kinugawa River located alongside Prefectural Highway Route 23.The waterfall, which runs from the up the mountain side of a deep forested mountain, drops from a height of 30 meters. The falls were named Jyaou or “serpent king” because the sight of the bright white spray of water from the falls shooting up into the air is reminiscent of a serpent. In the autumn, the mountains trees change color to yellow, red and green, contrasting superbly with the white of the falls.
