Higashi Kouyasan Ioji Temple has a variety of large buildings inside its spacious grounds including the Kondo golden hall, Karamon Chinese gate, Kobo Daishido hall, Kodo auditorium, Kyakuden reception hall and others. In addition it also houses 27 Prefectural Important Cultural Assets. The Chinese gate in particular is a must-see, decorate with fantastic carvings.
