Tsukayama Kofun

Tsukayama Kofun is an enormous, 98-meter long circular burial mound that is the largest in the prefecture.Artifacts discovered here include ento haniwa (cylindrical clay pottery), hajiki (Haji pottery) and sueki (unglazed ceramic ware). The prefecture has designated the burial mound as a historical landmark.The azaleas come into bloom from spring through early summer to cover the mound in a sea of brilliant color.
